What we do
The History Teachers’ Association (HTAV) is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to support the history teachers, students and the wider community in history education. The money you have paid to attend today goes back into improving history education in Victoria.
HTAV exists to help History teachers and educators develop the skills, knowledge and values necessary to be creative, responsible and effective. We seek to ensure that History is the most enlivening, memorable and formative learning in which students engage. HTAV advocates for the discipline of History in schools, and the expertise and commitment of History teachers.

HTAV Publishing is an Australian, not-for-profit educational publisher. History is all we do, so we have developed deep expertise in this field. HTAV Publishing works with our members to produce textbooks, study and exam guides, teaching resources, sample exams and digital resources to support excellent History teaching. How do I prepare for the Exam Skills webinar?
For a comfortable start, you’re encouraged to log into the Student Lectures on your laptop or PC 10 minutes before the Exam Skills webinar. Prior to the 10.00 am start time, please ensure your internet connection is stable and Wi-Fi is enabled on the devices you will use. Otherwise, grab a drink and perhaps something to snack on, have a notepad, pen and any extra devices handy, and you’re ready to go!
When will recordings be available? How do I watch them?
Full details about how to access the lectures will be emailed to attendees during the week of the lectures. The recording of the Exam Skills Webinar will be available in the days following the lectures launch. Recordings covering the subject-specific content will be made available on Sunday 14 September.
Are there any registration discounts?
HTAV’s VCE History Exam Revision Student Lectures are priced to offer the best support to students. If financial barriers are a concern for you, please contact us to discuss options. Regional and rural schools may have received funds for students to attend VCE Revision Lectures under the Student Resource Package from the Department of Education. Ask your colleagues or teachers about funding allocation.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit/debit cards and school purchase orders. Teachers who belong to a HTAV school membership, please log into the HTAV website prior to registering to pay with a purchase order number.
Is there a cancellation policy?
Student Lecture tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. In lieu of refund, HTAV provides access to the recordings, handouts and supporting material provided by presenters. All ticket sales are final.
